It Is Better Than 3D!
With an attention rate of 98%, cinematic advertisements and trailers have always entertained, confused and frightened us. In this Experiential effort to mirror that frozen state of terror in a traumatic situation, St. John’s Ambulance placed an actor/hero in the audience to remind others that “You could be the difference between life and death.” This Guerrilla Marketing stunt, similar to the BMW Flash Projection, perfectly demonstrated how effective experiential concepts can be when you combine a high attention rate and involvement.
This concept was brilliant. We have all been in a frozen state of terror in a traumatic situation, but this concept further exhibits that our senses are more aware in an area with a focused direction. The only critiques that I really found is the paid actor. If she were to stand under the logo and take a bow, it may have indirectly caused people to focus on the logo rather than her walking back up the aisle.
