Come As You Are, McDonald’s?

OMD, BETC and JCDecaux Innovate surprised visitors with this interactive photo box by McDonald’s for this interactive marketing effort. This giant 5 meter cube made people part of the on-screen interaction. Under the motto “Venez commes vous etes” which translates to “Come as you are” engaged users utilized the photo-booth located on one side of the cube, in which, users were also able to obtain large printouts as well as sending them a still to their mobile. The cube was equipped with a digital screen and a photo booth which invited passers-by to have their pictures taken and uploaded to the giant ever-changing display.

Opposite of the digital side of the cube, a less awesome “paper” version resided. It was a good concept of an ever-changing print ad that rotated every 15 minutes, but having scaffolding in the way hindered the overall print ad creative. Rarely do we see an outdoor company, media, and a creative agency working together to innovate and create brand experience (even if for a crappy fast food chain).
