Guerrilla Marketing: Scratches on Your Car Static Stickers

Novo Cortex advertising agency used guerrilla marketing to build brand awareness for an online insurance company in Europe. They placed stickers with huge scratches on expensive cars to make it appear like someone hit-and-run on their car.

Problem: With a budget under 1,000 euros the team had to make a lasting impression when it mattered most Рwhen drivers came back outside to re-enter their cars.

Solution:¬†Finding out someone did a hit-and-run on your car makes you feel angry, hopeless, and vulnerable. The best way to catch drivers’ attention is making it appear like someone scratched their car. In this Guerrilla Marketing idea, they accomplished this by using adhesive transparencies through static electricity; from a distance it looks like real scratches. The transparencies could be easily removed, didn’t require adhesive, and are cost efficient.
