Free-Range Pig Feeding Apple Feeder – Guerrilla Marketing
Guerrilla Marketing: Free-Range Pig Feeding Apple Feeder
Feed the food you eat in this guerrilla marketing campaign. The ‘Compassion in World Farming’ organization designed this amazing guerrilla marketing / experiential marketing / interactive / cause marketing campaign to help fight against cruel farming methods. Turning this bold marketing idea into one amazing guerrilla marketing stunt to stress the importance of free-range farming.
Placing interactive billboards around shopping centers in London, passerbys could feed the pigs between 10-11AM and 2-3PM to a real free-range farm in Buckinghamshire. *on a side note, please notice that the word ham is in the name of that town.
To feed the pigs, a 1 Pound donation from shoppers allowed them to connect their smart phone with the interactive billboard and feed the feed machine. One connected and loaded, participants were able to “throw” their “apples” and with instant gratification while these fat, delicious pieces of bacon ran for food.
Results: In the end, the campaign was able to drive in 500,000-strong crowd over it’s five day activation, allowing thousands of Londoners to feed their delicious, salty pig parts.
